Dr Sarah J Urasa

Sarah is a Tanzanian medical doctor, trained as a Physician (Internal Medicine) at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College before pursuing further training in Clinical Neurology at Queen’s Square, University College London.

She has 19 years of clinical experience, having spent the last 6 years of her career as a hospital administrator having been appointed as the Director of Hospital Services at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Northern Tanzania.

Sarah’s clinical interests are in general medicine, particularly NCDs as well as movement disorders (Parkinsonism) in which she is pursuing her PhD.

She envisages an Africa in which no obvious NCD is missed as a diagnosis whenever one presents to even the lowest level health facilities.
